1. How is it possible that my print glows?
TheMagicTouch DTF Film Luminous has a unique coating with phosphorescent properties. This means that the particles in the coating absorb energy from light and radiate that energy in the dark with the characteristic green-yellowish light of Glow in the Dark. This layer adheres to the DTF ink and is transferred from the film to the print that is placed on the textile. This ensures that the DTF print glows in the dark and is visible in the printed colors during the day.
2. Why is TheMagicTouch DTF Film Luminous a cold peel?
To ensure that the Phosphorescent (luminous) coating adheres properly to the textile, it is important that the film is cooled down when it is removed. In this way, the luminous layer can adhere optimally to the color.
3. Is TheMagicTouch DTF film Luminous also suitable for my DTF printer?
TheMagicTouch DTF films are suitable for most common DTF printers that can print from rolls.
4. Does it matter which side of the DTF film I print on?
Certainly. There is a special coating on the matte side of the film that is very important for good adhesion of the ink during printing and at the same time ensures a good transfer when applicating the print onto the garment.
5. If I want to use the film on white textiles, should I still use white ink?
Yes, although most printers have a separate color profile for white textiles that uses slightly less white ink. This is not possible without white ink, because too little or no glue powder will stick to the image.
