This plotter is now equipped with wireless LAN connection, an updated touch panel and an improved ASF unit (Automatic Media Feeding System). The Graphtec CE-8000 series is a line of cutting plotters known for its precision and versatility. The “40 cm” in the name refers to the width of the cutting capacity. The new Graphtec CE-8000-40 Series models offer significant improvements that increase efficiency and versatility. They are equipped with improved speeds and pressure settings, allowing them to perform better when processing different materials and cut types. More recent versions support a wider range of materials, such as vinyl, paper and other media. In addition, there are upgrades in connectivity, with improved options for connection via USB and wireless networks. The user-friendly interface has been updated for better navigation and easier use. Improvements have also been made to the mechanics and electronic parts, which contributes to a long service life and higher reliability of the plotter.
The latest updates and innovations in this series:
Wireless Lan
The wireless LAN connection option improves the flexibility of installation locations.
Newly designed blade holder
The new holder design makes it easier to change tools and blade positions by sliding the stopper forward and backward.
New Design
The redesigned blade holder now has a magnetic base in the tool compartment, making it easy to move location and remove the holder if necessary.
New touch panel with mechanical buttons
This feature offers users greater flexibility through the Blind Touch feature, which allows the operator to keep their eyes on the material continuously while feeding.
New Menu Structure
Revisions to the menu are more intuitive and efficient through the use of the new touch screen with icons, which makes operation easier.
New push roller design
The CE8000 series features adjustable adhesive force with fixed end force (5.5 kg) and switchable center rollers (3.2 kg), providing higher force than the CE7000 series.
Easy-to-Use Software: The included software may have enhanced features for design and cutting management. This makes it easier to manage and adjust your designs before cutting them.
Blind Touch operation
The intuitive operation speeds up the workflow.
New Media Assistant
The internal fan of the CE8000 switches on automatically as soon as the sensor recognizes the material, to support feeding.

1. Can the Graphtec CE8000-40 Cutting Plotter also be connected to my computer via WiFi?
Yes, the Graphtec CE8000-40 now features a user-friendly WiFi module, allowing for seamless wireless operation. For wired connectivity, the CE8000 series offers a convenient USB option.
2. What software options are there to operate the Graphtec CE8000-40?
The Graphtec CE8000 series cutting plotters offer several software options to operate from: Cutting Master 5 This is a free plug-in software that can be used on both Windows and Mac computers. It is a RIP software that allows the user to send data to the cutting plotter, including all necessary settings, directly from CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator. Graphtec Studio 2 This is a free software program, available for Windows and Mac, that combines many design and edit possibilities and all necessary features for every cutting job. It works with Silhouette Studio files, ideal for those customers stepping up from the Silhouette Cameo cutters. Both Cutting Master 5 and Graphtec Studio 2 can be downloaded for free from the Graphtec website.
3. Can the Graphtec CE8000-40 be used for Print & Cut operation?
Yes it can very well in fact. With the Print & Cut process the Graphtec CE8000 series can cut the contour from a print made on special media like TheMagicTouch transferpapers for garment decoration, printable vinyl for stickers and much more. From the cutting software (Cutting Master 5 or Graphtec Studio 2) the design is send to the printer, with the addition of markers which are printed along side the design. Once the printed media is loaded into the Graphtec CE8000, it scans the markers and calculating from their position it is capable of cutting the contour of the design on exactly the correct position. The CE8000 series offers many possibilities with the set-up of the cutting data that help to make full use of the media.
4. Is the Graphtec CE8000 series a good step up from my Silhouette Cameo Pro?
Yes indeed. The Graphtec is a professional cutting plotter that will make your cutting jobs a lot easier and faster for you and it is the ideal step up if the number of cutting jobs you get is growing. It will offer you a lot faster plotting speed, higher precision, more efficient media usage and therefore shorter weeding time.
5. Is the stand included with the Graphtec CE8000-40?
The Graphtec CE8000-40 with its smaller size and footprint comes with a Roll Media stocker instead of a stand, as this small model is more suited for use on a top off a desk or table.
6. Which one is right for me: The Graphtec CE8000-40, the CE8000-60 or the CE8000-130?
The biggest difference between these three models is off course the maximum cutting width. On de CE8000-40 the maximum cutting width is 375mm On the CE8000-60 the maximum cutting width is 603mm On the CE8000-130 the maximum cutting width is 1372mm TheMagicTouch is one of the few suppliers that offers both HTV and self-adhesive media on rolls with a width of 305mm which is great if you choose the CE8000-40. But there is a lot of media however, that is only available in 500 or 600mm rolls and you have to cut those media in 400mm sheets if you choose the CE8000-40. With the CE8000-60 you can always use the media directly from roll, regardless of whether the width is 305, 500 or 600mm. So that gives you more versatility and media efficiency. The CE8000-130 is interesting if you have vinyl jobs that require the extra width on top of that of the CE8000-60. Large Print & Cut jobs from large format printers, or large signing jobs could be the reason for choosing the CE8000-130. For decorating garments with HTV and the occasional vinyl job however, the CE8000-60 is the sweat-spot of the three models. The CE8000-60 and CE8000-130 models come with a stand that also carries the roll included, the CE8000-40 is a desktop model so it comes with a Roll Media stocker instead of a stand.
