What is the function of the transfer belt?

The imaging belt is important in a printer for two major functions: It transports the paper through the printer like a conveyor, but also charges the paper in such a way that the toner image from the imaging drums is being transferred onto the paper. The Imaging belt pushes the paper finally through the fuser unit.
