Before commissioning
The device is already fully adjusted. So don’t adjust anything about the machine! The can sealing machine just needs to be assembled.
Tip: The can sealing machine comes with an English manual. Use the images in this guide to clarify the directions below.
Mounting
Mount the base of the device on a worktable or desk.
Put the spring around the axis of the can support and place the shaft with the spring around it in the base of the device.
Place the upper part of the device (red) on the neck of the foot.
Attach the swivel lever (pendulum) to the upper part of the device using the screw.
Attach the lever using the skewer. Make sure that the lever is firmly inserted into the slot of the device.
The machine is now ready for operation. Please note that nothing else needs to be adjusted. So leave all the adjustment screws fixed! Store the supplied metal needles well with the machine. These serve to adjust the machine, should this be necessary in the future after intensive use.
Closing a can
Before placing the can, make sure that the handle is up. Rotate until there is “0” in the small window opening.
Place a can with the open side facing up on the canning machine. Place the bottom on the tin.
Push the trade all the way down so that the loose bottom is pushed into place.
Turn the crank until the “0” is back in the window.
Open the lever, done.
Adjusting the can sealing machine
The machine has already been adjusted in the factory. Only after intensive use may the machine need to be adjusted. To do this, use the size needles. The adjustment is as follows:
Turn the crank until the number “1” appears in the window. Take the size of the two size needles and adjust the pressure roller with the pin and screw so that the needle just fits between them .
Continue until the number “2” appears in the window. Take the smaller of the two size needles and adjust the pressure roller with the pin and screw so that the needle just fits between them.
The canning machine is now well adjusted again.
